CCN Email Configuration: Outlook Express

  1. Start the OutlookExpress application.
  2. Choose Tools from top menu. This will open a pull-down menu.
  3. Choose the Accounts option from the pull down menu. This will open a new window.
  4. Select the Mail tab. This will open another selection window.
  5. Select the Add button. This will open a pull-down menu.
  6. Choose the Mail option from the pull down menu. This will open a new window.
  7. In the Display Name place your name or the phrase you wish to identify this profile for example casselton.net mail. Select Next for the next screen.
  8. In the Email Address: field enter your email address: mailaccount@casselton.net. Select Next for the next screen.
  9. Select POP3 from the pull down menu of Incoming Email Type.
  10. Enter mail.casselton.net as the Incoming mail server.
  11. Enter mail.casselton.net as the Outgoing SMTP server. Select the Next for the next screen.
  12. Activate the Log on using button.
  13. POP account name: (account given to you)
  14. Password: (password given to you)
  15. The Log on with Secure Password Anthentication button is NOT activated. Select the Next for the next screen.
  16. you may skip the Friendly Name page. Select the Next for the next screen.
  17. Activate the Connect using my local area network (LAN)Select the Next for the next screen.
  18. Select the Finished to complete the configuration.
  19. Select Exit and Logout from the File in the top menu.
The email address should be available when you start OutLookExpress.
